KOMAN Propper Government Apparel, LLC (KPGA) is a Joint Venture between the two participants in a SBA-approved Mentor-Protégé agreement. As such, KPGA legitimately combines the manufacturing capabilities of one the largest uniform suppliers to the U.S. Department of Defense (Propper International, Inc.), with the contracting ease and flexibility provided by an Alaska Native Corporation SBA Section 8(a) small business. As a Small Business controlled by a Small Disadvantaged Business participant in the 8(a) program, KPGA is eligible to receive Direct Award contracts worth as much $20M without the submission of a Justification and Authorization document.

KPGA offers a wide range of products for every branch of the U.S. armed forces, and for federal law-enforcement agencies and other public-safety personnel. It produces military uniforms and kit accessories (such as rucksacks, webbing, parachutes, etc.), as well as technical uniforms (such as turn-out gear) and textile-based equipment for first-responders. KPGA garments are available in Flame Retardant, Near Infrared Compliant, and Permethrin Treated variants, and its products are compliant with the Berry Amendment and the Buy America Act.

 

KPGA employs its own manufacturing facility and staff, including an efficient engineering cell, scrupulous Quality Assurance crews, and a very successful management team. Together, they implement and oversee procurement, production, and delivery processes that are ISO 9001:2008 compliant. Combined with its SBA Section 8(a) government contracting efficiencies, this investment in manufacturing quality assures that K-P LLC’s customers receive best-value products at best-value prices.
